The segmented bowl shown below was made for my son and is comprised of 577 pieces of Purple Heart, Curly English Sycamore, Ebony, and Turquoise pen blanks. The images following show some of the steps involved in production. I used DeltaCad as an aid in the basic design, and Segmented Project Planner for calculating angles, segment dimensions, etc.
